Altona Rhineland Economic Development (ARED) has released a new Developer’s Package aimed at attracting investment and development to the region by giving potential investors a clear picture of what the area has to offer.
Economic Development Officer Stephanie Peters says the package was created in response to frequent inquiries from businesses and investors interested in the region.
“The developer’s package is there to showcase the region’s strengths and attract new investment and development opportunities into the region,” Peters said. “The package itself has lots of information that we get inquiries about from investors and businesses that are looking to come to the region.”
The Developer’s Package compiles key information that is often requested, including demographics, existing industries, utilities, and tax costs, all in one place.
“They want to know what’s the demographic, what other industries are in the region, what are the utilities, what are the cost of taxes, and those types of things,” Peters said. “And so all this information has been compiled together in this attractive developer’s package.”
Peters says having the information consolidated makes it easier to respond quickly and consistently when inquiries come in.
“When I’m providing it to them, it’s a little more scattered,” she said. “And so we felt like if we had all this information in one nice, unified package, then that would be much easier to not only share at that time when the inquiries come in, but also to promote it and get this information out there and advertise what our region also has to offer.”
The Developer’s Package is available digitally on the ARED website and will be used in a variety of settings to support business attraction and regional marketing efforts.
Peters adds the package will also be shared with site selectors, economic development partners, and local real estate agencies, and used at trade shows and conferences.
“We can use it at trade shows and conferences, and also to our local real estate agencies as well,” she said. “So we get a lot of inquiries too with businesses looking to purchase other businesses or looking to purchase lots in an industrial park.”
According to Peters, developing the package was a priority identified in ARED’s strategic plan for the year.
“It was in our strategic plan for the year when we talked about what we wanted to accomplish during this year,” she said. “One of the items was to put together this developer’s package.”
ARED says the new resource will help ensure consistent messaging while continuing to promote development opportunities throughout the Altona Rhineland region.
